HOW DID YOU GET HERE?

I’ve lived in West Lafayette my whole life. After graduating from the K-12 West Side school system, I found myself going to Purdue to get my Bachelor’s degree. I worked at ITaP as a network engineering aid while I went to school. I thoroughly enjoyed my time working for Purdue, and after working elsewhere for a couple years, I found myself back at Purdue.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT WORKING AT THE CCO?

It’s a very friendly and easy-going work environment. The students I manage are so smart and work very hard at maintaining our website. I also appreciate the mutual trust and hands-off approach to management where we all trust each other to get important work done on time.

WHAT IS THE MOST UNUSUAL JOB YOU HAVE EVER HAD?

While I was in high school and college, I played in my dad’s classic rock band a handful of times as a stand-in keyboard player. I wouldn’t consider much of a “job,” but I did get paid for it!

FUN FACT:

I have played a total of 9 different musical instruments over the years in a performance setting. List of instruments include: Trumpet, French Horn, Mellophone, Saxophone, Piano, Keyboard/Synth, Electric Guitar, Bass, and (most recently) Drumset. I hope to add to this list!

FAVORITE THINGS:

Music – my favorite genres include Punk Rock and Djent Metal
Video games – all time favorites: Elden Ring, Deltarune, Portal, TF2, Hollow Knight, and Omori
Favorite movies – 3:10 to Yuma (2007), The Incredibles, and Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse
Favorite snack – dark chocolate with raspberry filling. Hard to beat!

QUOTE YOU LIVE BY:

“In the darkest times, hope is something you give yourself…that is the meaning of inner strength” –Uncle Iroh

ADVICE FOR STUDENTS:

College is so much more than just attending classes and getting a degree; it’s about personal growth, building social relationships, and finding strengths within yourself that you never knew existed. Use this time as a chance to discover what your true potential is!
