Career Services Consultant

HOW DID YOU GET HERE?
I graduated from Brigham Young University (BYU) in Provo, Utah and majored in English. I was very undecided about what I wanted to do after graduation but decided on Sports Marketing my senior year of college. I took a post-grad internship at the University of Minnesota where I was over Women’s Soccer, Men’s Gymnastics, and Baseball. While I loved Sports Marketing, I realized that I missed working with students. I had worked in an advisement office my last two years at BYU. I always knew I wanted to go to grad school and decided to get my masters in Student Affairs. I went to Ball State University and received my masters in Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education. My assistantship was in Career Services where I was a Career Coach and I loved it! I wanted to stay in Career Services and that is how I found the CCO!

WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT YOUR JOB?
Working with students! I really love being able to help them find a solution to a problem.

FAVORITE THINGS
I love watching sports, but football is probably my favorite! I’m a very passionate USC Gamecocks fan. I love being in the sun and out on the water, whether that is at the beach or out on a lake! I love to read, mostly fiction, and struggle with not finishing most books in a day. I also love hanging out with my husband and going on fun adventures!
